The PADI Open Water certification is a course designed to teach you how to safely scuba dive. There is a three-day time commitment for the water work.  The self-study will be completed prior to your first day of class.  Self-study can be completed on your laptop or desk computer or on your ipad or tablet.

Prerequisites


  • 12 years of age or older
  • Good physical health
  • Adequate swimming skills

What do you provide?


  • Completed e-learning - MUST be affiliated with Kona Honu Divers or additional charges apply
  • Mask, Snorkel, & fins (fins available for rental)
How long is the class?

Day 1: Confined water - 7:30 - 1pm (approximately)
Day 2: Boat dives 1 & 2 - 8 am - 1pm
Day 3: Boat dives 3 & 4 - 8 am - 1pm

Costs

Online coursework - $185 - paid directly to PADI

3 Day course
                  Adults - 18 years of age or older - $509 plus taxes
                  Kids ages 12 - 17 years old - $899 plus taxes
                  
Ratios:

Adults 18 and older: 4:1
Kids 12 - 17:         1:1

These ratios are set to provide the safest learning environment possible.  While our safety standards are stricter than the industry standards we have put them in place with your safety and kids safety in mind.
